Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), launched a state-of-the-art, “FinTech Research Centre” in collaboration with TOPXIGHT LABS, a New York-based research lab and incubator.The lab will focus on ‘placement through proof of work and profile building with daily practice of finance, research to address real-world and industry-provided challenges, and incubation of industrialised thoughts and research outcomes with promising developments.
’Speaking at the inauguration of the centre, Chancellor, VIT, G. Viswanathan said, “With the rapid advent of newer and emerging technologies, banking and financial services are in the cusp of changes; with it, the roles and skill-set requirements are evolving. The edge of VIT is keeping pace with technological agility, exposing students to newer career and entrepreneurial advancements; translating the market challenges into business opportunities through patentable research,” he said.“This research lab aligns with the VIT’s academic core principle of ‘experiential learning’. After a rigorous evaluation process, VITBS has selected TOPXIGHT to be its preferred partner for the FinTech Research initiative,” he added.
